If it’s been years since you last dieted ,you will most likely find it an uphill battle. I haven’t dieted since I was in my 30s. Since then I have entered my 50s & gone through menopause. I’ve also packed on over 100 pounds,spent years as a chain smoker & beer hound,& haven’t been active since my mid 40s…been crushed by depression,anxiety,& stress.
My body has gone through many changes,natural ones & from abuse & from age. This time my body isn’t responding to its diet like it did in my 30s. Its slow & sluggish…stubborn.
