I grew up on the full-course meals…a meat,a starch,& a veggy. That’s what the family shared during meal times. No harm,I was a skinny child with an abundance of energy. It all changed in my late teens when I started putting on weight…& then began my dieting career…I was a diet hop…I’d go on & off diets…gain more weight…until I ended up where I am now…110 pounds over weight. My belly has always been my weightiest problem.
It wasn’t until I read the Atkin’s book & the South Beach diet book,that I found the truth of why my belly has always been huge,bloated,swelled,& fat. On the South Beach Diet,the 1st thing you lose is your big fat belly. This is because you don’t mix protein with carbs. The same with Atkin’s. As for me,I’m a meat & potatoes gal & it shows. I was raised that way.
